From the point of view of temperature resistance
The temperature resistance of fluorescent whitening agent OB-1 is 359℃, which is the product with high temperature resistance among all fluorescent whitening agents at present. For factories that produce heat-resistant plastics, only OB-1 can be used, because it is the best heat-resistant product among all whitening agents at present.
At present, only optical brightener OB-1 can withstand 359℃, which is a great advantage for optical brightener OB-1, because OB-1 is a high-temperature resistant plastic brightener, which can reach over 350℃ and is suitable for almost all plastics.
From the color light emitting fluorescence
Fluorescent whitening agents of different products or the same product have many colored products, some of which emit blue light, others are bright blue light, blue violet light, blue green light, etc. Because most raw materials in nature are yellowish, and yellow light plus blue light can be seen as white light by naked eyes, so the heavier the blue light, the better the fluorescent effect and whitening effect, and the less the added amount.
The green fluorescent whitening agent OB-1 product is called green phase, and the yellow fluorescent whitening agent OB-1 product is called yellow phase. The fluorescence emitted by the green phase is blue light, and the yellow phase is blue-violet light.
At present, most of the fluorescent whitening agents OB-1 are green, but the blue light emitted by OB-1 in green phase is not as strong as that emitted by OB, KCB and other products, but the fluorescence intensity is quite good and the whitening effect is also good. In terms of color light, although OB-1, a fluorescent whitening agent, didn't win, it wouldn't lose much.
From the scope of application
Although the fluorescent whitening agent OB-1 is suitable for polyester fiber, nylon fiber, polypropylene fiber and other chemical fiber plastics, and has a good whitening effect on polypropylene plastics, rigid PVC, ABS, EVA, polystyrene, polycarbonate and other materials, the applicability of OB-1 is limited to rigid plastics, and most soft plastics have a greater risk of precipitation after using OB-1.
From the point of view of product stability
The disadvantage of fluorescent whitening agent OB-1 is poor weather resistance. Under the same amount of optical brightener OB-1 and the same temperature and humidity, the migration and precipitation of optical brightener OB-1 is larger, and the product is more likely to turn yellow. If there are higher requirements for the stability of products, for example, KCB can only be used for shoe products. Because KCB has good anti-migration and sedimentation ability, OB-1, a fluorescent whitening agent, cannot be used.
To sum up, fluorescent whitening agent OB-1 is a good product in terms of temperature resistance, color light, dosage and whitening effect, but in terms of stability and weather resistance, the downstream application effect of the product is poor, and it is easy to precipitate, resulting in many after-sales products and unsalable products.
