High-temperature plastics, engineering plastics and hard plastics all have their own uniqueness. First of all, high-temperature plastics, as the name implies, are formed by high-temperature extrusion, and the plastics bear high temperatures during the firing process. Furthermore, compared with traditional plastics, engineering plastics have much higher cold resistance and heat resistance than ordinary plastics. Hard plastic is a kind of plastic that can not be processed and used again after being processed and formed by hot pressing. These plastics also have strict requirements on the fluorescent brighteners used, so the high-temperature resistance of the fluorescent brighteners must be ensured. If the high-temperature resistance of the fluorescent brighteners is not good, the plastics will lose their function before reaching the melting point.
There are many types of fluorescent brighteners, and the selected fluorescent brighteners are different if the models are different. If customers who don't know about fluorescent brighteners choose fluorescent brighteners casually, they will not only fail to achieve the effect, but may also have some other effects on the products, because the temperature resistance of fluorescent brighteners is different. If the temperature resistance can't reach the production temperature of engineering plastics, the brighteners will be directly burned to ashes after high temperature decomposition during production. Not only can it not achieve whitening, but it will also make some plastics yellow and black, which will affect the performance. Therefore, many manufacturers choose the wrong model, and they lose confidence in brighteners and think that brighteners are useless.
The processing temperature of high-temperature plastics is above 240 degrees, which has far exceeded the melting point of most fluorescent brighteners. Therefore, we directly recommend that you use the fluorescent whitening agent OB-1. Optical brightener OB-1 is one of the three major plastic brighteners. Needless to say, the whitening effect is commendable. OB-1 can withstand the high temperature of 360 degrees, which can be described as a ride. Of course, there are brighteners that are more resistant to high temperature than OB-1, but the price is several times higher. So if you can't find a suitable whitening agent for high-temperature engineering plastics, you can try the fluorescent whitening agent OB-1. If it doesn't work, please contact us.
